2009 Calendar: Tintin On The Roof Of The World is now available.
Written in 1958 by Hergé, Tintin in Tibet was an introduction to Tibet's beauty, landscape and culture for millions of people. Tintin's journey over the Himalayas to Tibet mirrored the Dalai Lama's escape from Tibet the following year, in 1959.
Considered to be one of Hergé's masterworks, Tintin in Tibet is humorous, enthralling and spiritually rewarding in the way that only great stories can be. Hergé passed away in 1983, but his wife, Fanny, has kept his passion for Tibet alive.
In 2001, the Hergé Foundation blocked Chinese attempts to rewrite both Tintin's and Tibet's history by demanding the recall of a Chinese version printed in Beijing entitled "Tintin in China's Tibet." The book was eventually republished under its original title, Tintin in Tibet.
