“Tibet’s Cry for Freedom” & “Leaving Fear Behind”
Two fantastic and important new films, both made between March 2007 and March 2008.
‘Leaving Fear Behind’ is a truly unique film, made at great risk by a Tibetan in Tibet and giving a direct insight into Tibetans’ heartfelt grievances against Chinese rule.
The long awaited ‘Tibet’s Cry for Freedom’ is Australian filmmaker Lara Damiani’s extraordinary effort to help raise awareness about the Tibetan freedom struggle. The film covers Tibet’s long suffering non-violent freedom struggle, the history of Tibet from the time of the Chinese occupation through to the present day debate between the Middle Way and independence, human rights abuses, political persecution and the environmental destruction of the land known as “The Roof of the World”.
