The month of September sees His Holiness the Dalai Lama giving teachings and talks in California, Colorado and New York in the U.S. and a lecture on “A Human Approach to World Peace” in Helsinki, Finland.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be visiting Los Angeles, California from 12 to 14 September. Venerable Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen and the students of Thubten Dhargye Ling Buddhist Center in Long Beach are hosting His Holiness at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
His Holiness will give teachings on Nagarjuna’s “Commentary on Boddhicitta”, (Jangchup Semdrel) on the first two days. The teaching is open to everyone and will be focused toward practicing students of Buddhism. .
A public talk will be given by His Holiness on Wednesday, 13 September at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal City on “Compassion: the Source of Happiness”.
On the morning of 14 September His Holiness will confer the Chittamani Tara Permission Initiation (Dolma Cittamani Jenang). The teachings and initiation will be translated into English, Chinese and Vietnamese.
Next will a public talk on “The Science of A Compassionate Life” in Denver, Colorado on 17 September, sponsered by the Mind and Life Institute.
Another public talk at the University of Buffalo, New York on September 19 will focus on “Promoting Peace Across Borders Through Education”.
His Holiness will give teachings on “The Blade Wheel of Mind Transformation” (Lojong Tsonchai Khorlo) by Dharmarakshita on 23, 24 and 25 September in New York.
The last day of the month, 30 September, will see His Holiness giving a public talk in Helsinki, Finland on “A Human Approach to World Peace”. |
