Leave a bequest to ATC in your Will

ImageAfter providing for your family and loved ones, a bequest to ATC will be a lasting memorial to your interest in the Tibetan culture and your concern for Tibet and the plight of Tibetans.

A bequest is a very special way of ensuring continued Australian advocacy and promotion of Tibetan’s human rights, cultural and democratic freedoms.

Bequests, whether large or small, are crucial to the long-term planning of our work in supporting the goals and aspirations of the Tibetan people. ATC is an independent, non-profit organisation which is funded solely by contributions from members and supporters.

If you are thinking about including ATC in your Will, please contact Paul Bourke on (02) 9283 3466 for a confidential discussion about making a bequest.

ATC’s ‘Donate Your Interest’ Program

ImageOver the years we’ve had a number of Tibet supporters who have chosen to contribute to ATC by donating to us the interest on a sum of money.

By lending the money to ATC interest free for a specified period, you are able to donate more to ATC - without giving anything to the Tax Office!

Here’s how it works:

Say you have $10,000 invested with your bank, earning around $600 per annum in interest. You will pay income tax of about $240 on this depending on your other income. That would leave you with only $360 available to donate to ATC.
If on the other hand you lend the $10,000 to ATC interest free, we can earn $600 interest in a Commonwealth Bank guilt-edged risk-free cash trust. That means you will have donated $600 to ATC rather than $360. You are no worse off and ATC is better off by $240.

Of course, any money deposited with ATC remains absolutely and unequivocally yours and will be immediately returned to you on request.

If this donation program appeals to you, please contact Paul Bourke on (02) 9283 3466 to discuss it further.
