Ven Professor Samdhong Rinpoche in Australia Print E-mail

Image Venerable Professor Samdhong Rinpoche, the Prime Minister of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile, arrives in Sydney on Wednesday 15 February for a six-day Australian visit.

Samdhong Rinpoche is visiting Australia at the invitation of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Tibet and Tibet supporters.

He will visit Canberra for a reception hosted by the All Parliamentary Group for Tibet, several meetings and a tour of the Parliament.

In Sydney Samdhong Rinpoche will speak on Tibet: Is Peace Possible? at The Sydney Institute at 6.00pm on Thursday 16 February. Call 02-9252 3366 to book.

On Saturday evening, 18 February Samdhong Rinpoche and Sogyal Rinpoche will be the special guest at a Tibet Charity Dinner organised by The Wisom of Tibet.

On Sunday, 19 February Samdhong Rinpoche will visit an exhibition of Tibetan art by Karma Phuntsok at the Festival of Tibet in Wollongong. At 2.00pm Rinpoche will give a public talk on Tibet and Tibetan Culture at the Old Courthouse, Wollongong Harbour, cnr Cliff Road and Harbour Streets, Wollongong.

Samdhong Rinpoche will be in Melbourne from Monday 20 February. In the evening Rinpoche will speak on Tibet: Past, Present and Future at The New Ballroom, 1st Floor, ACTU Trades Hall, Cnr Lygon and Victoria Streets, Carlton at 8.30pm. This event is hosted by the Tibetan Community of Victoria and the Australia Tibet Council. This is a free event but you will need to reserve your place by phoning 0417 103 886.
