Lotus Speech Australia is delighted to confirm that Khenpo Pema Sherab Rinpoche will be coming to Melbourne, and will confer the elaborate empowerment of The Peaceful and Wrathful Deities from Karma Lingpa at Box Hill Town Hall over three days:
- Friday 10th September 2010, 7.00pm - 10:30pm.
- Saturday 11th September 2010, 1:00pm - 5:00pm.
- Sunday 12th September 2010, 10:00am - 1:00pm, with a feast offering 1:00pm -2:00pm.
Khenpo Pema Sherab is one of the most respected khenpos within the Nyingma tradition. He is one of the three ‘great khenpos’ of Namdrolling Monastery, where he has taught for over 25 years.
This is a highly significant and rare empowerment, and a pivotal event for Australia and Lotus Speech.
Lotus Speech Australia
Lotus Speech Australia is a community of Buddhist practitioners who follow the practice of the Tibetan Nyingma tradition teachings of His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, the Northern Treasures lineage and the Rechung Kagyu Lineage.
It is rare in any context to receive this elaborate empowerment, which is the gateway to Karma Lingpa’s practice of the 100 Peaceful and Wrathful Deities sadhanas, and to Karma Lingpa’s most well known treasure text, ‘Great Liberation By Hearing During The Intermediate State’. This text is most well known in the West as ‘The Tibetan Book Of The Dead’, as translated by Francesca Freemantle and the vidyadhara Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche.
