FESTIVAL OF TIBET: Wednesday 1 to Sunday 5 February 2012 Print E-mail

In its fourth year, the Brisbane Festival of Tibet offers five days of Tibetan culture where audiences can participate in Tibet’s unique, philosophy, arts and way of life. The Festival celebrates Tibetan heritage, founded on the principles of compassion and non-violence, while addressing the issues which continue to threaten the future of Tibet. We are committed to ensuring the world heritage of Tibet is never lost or forgotten.

Over five days you wil experience the rcihness of Tibetan culture in all its aspects - music, film, concerts, art expressions, discussions, ideas, workshops, mindfulness, meditation, sand mandala, chakra healing, calligraphy, Tibetan medicine, weaving, ritual dance, hand mudras, children’s workshops and much more.

The Queensland Branch of the Australia Tibet Council is an extremely active Branch committed to grass roots activism and prolifically spreading the word about the situation in Tibet. Each year they organise a number of exciting events including protests, dinners, lawnbowls, and film nights.
