In July, Tibetans, Tibet supporters and Buddhists around the world will celebrate the 75th birthday of Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet. So far we have received details of events in Mullumbimby, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney (below).

Long Life Prayer Puja Program To Celebrate & Honour The Dalai Lama’s 75th Birthday
The Crystal Castle in Mullumbimby is proud to host the Gyuto Monks of Tibet during their Zhambhala Wish Fulfilling Tour of Australia designed to counter the current climate of despondency and foster prosperity and regrowth.
For ten days the Gyuto Monks will be ‘in residence’. Daily, they will be sharing meditations, creative art workshops, mandala making, public talks and ceremonies. PLUS A CONCERT of their world-renowned tantric art of Harmonic Chanting.

Festival of Tibet - His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 75th Birthday Celebration and Photographic Exhibition
 The Tibetan Community of Australia (NSW), in association with Dalai Lama in Australia Limited and the Tibetan and Chinese Friendship Association, will host the Festival of Tibet event on 10 July 2010 at Allambie Heights School Community Centre, Allambie Heights. As it is such an important celebration for the Tibetan community, the 75th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the spiritual and temporal leader of the Tibetan people, it is the perfect opportunity to share and enjoy this very special day with both new and old friends. It is a wonderful opportunity to share or be introduced to the famous Tibetan culture, song, dance, and traditional Tibetan food.
