Support Simon’s Run for Tibet In Sydney Marathon
Many of you will remember Dr Simon Bradshaw, ATC’s campaigner between 2007 and 2010. Next week he’s running the Sydney Marathon to raise funds for International Tibet Network and Australia Tibet Council. Watch a short video about Simon’s Run for Tibet and make a donation.

Read Simon’s blog where he reflects on his four years with ATC and his motivations for running the Sydney Marathon.

One Month Into His First Term - Tibetans’ New Leader

Demand Urgent Medical Treatment For Tibet’s Longest-serving Political Prisoner
Lobsang Tenzin has been in prison for 23 years and is suffering from severe diabetes, causing occasional blindness. He was arrested while studying at Tibet University and has since remained politically active in prison, organising protests at Drapchi Prison and even attempting to pass a letter to visiting US Ambassador James Lilley. Please sign the petition to Tibet Autonomous Region’s Party Secretary and Chushur Prison’s Governor, calling for immediate medical attention.

Demand Jigme Guri’s Release
On 20 August 2011 Jigme Guri, a senior monk from Labrang Monastery in Amdo (Ch: Gansu), was arrested for the fourth time in five years. His current whereabouts are unknown. Outspoken and courageous, "Labrang Jigme" was first detained in March 2008 following protests staged by fellow monks at Labrang Monastery. He was held for 42 days, during which time he was beaten unconscious. Upon his release he recorded a powerful video statement about his arrest, torture and the wider crackdown in Tibet. Email Gansu’s Party Secretary Lu Hao demanding Jigme Guri’s release.
