Smith’s Hill High School has won second place in the 2006 National Rock Eisteddfod Challenge with a “moving performance about the plight of the Tibetan people and the teachings of peace offered by the Dalai Lama”.

The storyline of Smith’s Hill High’s performance includes Tibetan monks paying their last respects to the previous Dalai Lama, as well as the 1949 Chinese invasion and the exile of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
