On behalf of the Australia Tibet Council, we express our grief and sadness at the news of the devastating mass flooding event in the Himalayan border region between Tibet and Nepal. Media Release: 55 Tibetans to Shave Head at Parliament in solidarity with NYC UN self-immolated activist

In a striking act of mass defiance, 55 Tibetan-Australians from across the country will shave their heads on the lawns of Parliament House and in front of the Chinese Embassy on Thursday 20 August to protest Beijing’s escalating foreign interference and honour a fallen activist. Tibet supporters say the Australian Government must defend our national sovereignty against foreign interference at the UN next month.
