Tibet Appeal:
Support Tibet Lobby Day 2026
Each year, Australia Tibet Council partners with the Tibetan Communities of Australia to bring young Tibetans to Canberra so that they have an opportunity to represent Tibet and speak directly with parliamentarians.
ATC provides advocacy training and arranges for our Tibetan delegation to meet with as many parliamentarians as we can on Lobby Day.
To date, more than 150 Tibetan Australians have completed the training and participated in Tibet Lobby Day.
They return home from Canberra with more confidence in their skills for public-speaking, impactful storytelling, campaign strategy and understanding of the media.
Please help us to bring this year’s Tibetan delegates from across Australia to Canberra for Tibet Lobby Day 2026 by making a donation today.

On Monday June 29, at Tibet Lobby Day 2026, our delegates will be telling our parliamentarians that the situation inside Tibet has reached a critical turning point. As well as their personal stories, they will speak about three pressing issues:
The Ethnic Unity Law: Beijing's new legislation forces Tibetans to adopt Chinese language and culture. It criminalises daily cultural practices and aims to completely erase the unique Tibetan identity.
Control of the Dalai Lama’s Succession: The Chinese government is actively planning to appoint a puppet spiritual leader in a blatant attempt to hijack Tibetan Buddhism.
China’s Refusal to Negotiate: Beijing completely refuses to engage in open dialogue or peaceful negotiations with the Dalai Lama's representatives, shutting down all diplomatic pathways.
To most effectively take these important issues direct to our parliamentarians, we need your support!
Your donation will provide Lobby Day participants with training, resources and accommodation - all crucial elements to making Tibet Lobby Day a success and ensuring that the Tibetan struggle cannot be ignored by Australia’s political leaders.
Every donation to this appeal goes towards empowering Tibetans to speak their truth to power.
One of ATC’s primary goals is amplifying Tibetan voices in the halls of power in Australia. Every donation to this appeal helps us to achieve this goal and more by building on the advocacy skills of Australia’s Tibetan communities.
Please support Tibet Lobby Day 2026 with a donation. Every dollar really does make a difference to our work.
