Email the Prime Minister – Raise Tibet when meeting China

Prime Minister Albanese is going to meet with Xi Jinping when he visits China this week.

Demand that when he is in these meetings he speaks up for Tibet!

We are urging the Prime Minister to raise the following issues with Xi Jinping:

  • China needs to return to the negotiating table with the Dalai Lama and his representatives for a peaceful resolution to the Sino-Tibet conflict
  • China must not interfere in the selection of a future Dalai Lama, nor in the selection of any Tibetan Buddhist leaders. President Xi Jinping must commit that China will not deny Tibetans’ freedom of religion and will not interfere with the future selection of the next Dalai Lama
  • China should close their state-run colonialist boarding schools for Tibetans. This policy is responsible for removing up to 1 million Tibetan children from their families and severing their ties to their culture, their language and their religion. Demand the Prime Minister speak up for Tibetan children and urge Xi Jinping to close these boarding schools.

Please note: Address and phone contact details are required by the Prime Minister’s contact form for submission of your message.

ATC is beginning a pledge campaign to put the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on notice. Tibet supporters around the world know that the CCP is aiming to interfere with the succession of the Dalai Lama and we don’t accept this. Take and share this pledge:
“I pledge to only recognise a Dalai Lama appointed via Tibetan Buddhist traditions and practices, without interference by the Chinese Government.”

Vietnam: Investigate Suspicious Death of Tibetan Rinpoche

Highly respected Tibetan leader, Tulku Hungkar Dorje Rinpoche, died under suspicious circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in late March 2025. We are extremely concerned about what happened and need answers from the Vietnamese government.
